My Blackberry Bold 9700

Last August 8, I got my new mobile phone – a Blackberry Bold 9700, which replaced my Nokia Communicator E90.

My GE digital camera has already retired; and, I’ve been using my Blackberry phone camera in capturing images during my rides. The phone camera has 3.2 megapixels.

My first PMTB jersey

My new biking gloves

I just bought a pair of biking gloves. It's a Fox Dirtpaw worth P1,000.00.

My new biking shirt

Last Saturday, while on my way up to Timberland Heights, I bought a yellow T-shirt from a peddler along the way.

I already used it during my Tour of Bulacan last Sunday.

Water bottles

I used to use used water bottle as my water container during my rides.

When I was in a bike shop, I bought a cycling water container. It's brand is Bontrager and the cost is less than P200.

Then, while in a supermarket, I bought two cheap water bottles (at P88 each) with capacity of about a liter each.

A night before the ride, I froze the water overnight. And, during the ride, I placed them on my backpack. The water is kept cold up to more than 6 hours.

My new camera

My Canon i-xus camera is already defective. It was accidentally immersed in a seawater.

When biking, I use my Nokia E90's communicator in taking pictures. But, it's camera feature is no longer working. So, in taking pictures, I use the video and just convert it to still pictures.

Or, I borrow wifey's camera. But, she got fed up and bought a new camera for me. It's a black GE A1035.

It has a 10.1 megapixel image sensor coupled to a GE-branded 3x optical zoom lens. It's powered by two "AA" batteries.

It's cheap at less than P5,000. And, it wouldn't break my heart if it's broken or lost. The Canon camera that I accidentally immersed was worth about P25,000.

My new arm sleeves

I lost my skull tattooed arm sleeves somewhere. I really didn't know where. So, I bought a new pair.

My new wrist watch

Wifey gifted me a wrist watch this Valentine's Day for my biking.

It's a Casio G-Shock Module 2327. Hence, I already used it on my Valentine's Day ride.

I have a new tail light.

I already have one but couldn't find it. I was planning to have a night ride in going home from the office; so, I bought a new one. it's only P125 ($2.70). It has three functions with parabolic lens.

When I arrived home I saw my old rear light. Wifey found it. Now, I have two rear lights, which I could use simultaneously for better visibility.

My new biking shorts and shirts

After my ride at the Neopolitan Business Park last Saturday morning, I shopped for my biking shorts and shirts.

My bike's color is red. And, to match with its color, I chose those with red color.

I donned my new shorts and shirt on my ride at the UP Diliman last Sunday afternoon.


And, last Saturday night, I attended the PMTB Christmas. I won a R.O.X. T-shirt (colored white and red), a pair of white socks, and five Weekend Warrior magazine.

My cycling gloves

When I bought my newer bike, I also bought a pair of cycling gloves and a red helmet. The pair of gloves is a Biogel Ergo Air and cost P600.00. There's no red color to match the color of my bike; so, I settled for a black one.
According to the website, the gloves use both gel pads and an air-vent system. Gel pads relieve pressure on the ulnar and median nerves, and the perforated, wicking palm and ErgoAir zone handle moisture.

My new biking short

Wifey was shopping at Greenhills Shopping Center. While waiting for her, I window shopped. In one of the sports stores, I found cycling shorts. I had one cycling shorts only; so, I decided to buy another one and checked them. I found one and bought it. It's an Enduro Kinetic worth P680.00 only.

My red helmet

You may have noticed from my photo shoot that my helmet is colored red. I bought it when I bought AlitePot. Actually, I was choosing between white and red colors. I chose the latter to match with the bike's color.

Its brand is Lazer - X3M model. I got it for P1,400.

I install my bike lights

Last September 14, I pedaled late in the afternoon in UP Diliman Academic Oval. And, dusk and darkness caught on me. I had no lights (front and rear) on my bikes yet. The street lights were not sufficient to illuminate clearly the area. And, I may not be visible from other bikers and joggers/walkers. I just kept watchful and ready for any eventuality.

Actually, I already bought front and rear lights for my AlitePot but hadn't installed them yet.

Last Saturday (September 23), I biked again late in UP Diliman to break in my new shoes. Before riding, I installed first the lights. I wasn't able to use though the lights as dusk didn't caught on me but rains. Thus, I cut short my ride. I made eight laps only instead of my usual 12 laps.

My new biking shoes

This afternoon, I bought a pair of new rubber shoes, which I shall be used for my biking. It's Sandugo's Tootega.

Actually, I didn't pay for it. Mamang, my mother, did. I still have two pairs of rubber shoes, which I used alternately for all purposes - including biking. While we're in Landmark, Trinoma, I was just window shopping for a pair, which I could be used, mainly, for biking. I was inspecting the Tootega, when Mamang approached me and asked for its price. I told her it's P1,995 only. She said, "If you like it, I'll buy it for you!". Really! I inspected the shoes again and thought they are good. And, I decided to get a pair.

From the mall, I immediately went to UP Diliman and broke in the shoes for eight laps (18 kilometers) around the academic oval. So far, I think it's great!

My sunglasses

I don't wear sunglasses. The last time I wore one was when my gifted me a Rayban (McArthur style). But, that was a long long time ago. When I lost it, I didn't replace it anymore.

When my friend Dan learned about, he gave me a pair of sunglasses. I refused it because I don't really wear one. He told me that I needed a pair to protect my eyes from protracted exposure to sunlight while biking and, at the same time, to make me more handsome. More concerned with the latter, I accepted it with much gratitude.
