SS Ride after the Rainy Day

Yesterday, it rained.  So, I was expecting for a muddy ride today.

Typhoon Lando Ride

There's an incoming typhoon (locally named "Lando"); and, it has been declared signal no. 1 in Metro Manila.

As I looked out at the sky, the weather's cloudy and still perfect for riding.  So, I prepared to bike and headed to Mt. Maarat, in San Mateo, Rizal.

Time to replace the chain

Chain is one of the abused parts of a bicycle.  It elongates overtime.  Worn chain will eventually damaged the chain rings and cogs.  Hence, it needs to be regularly checked to determine if it's time to replace it.

I used my chain wear tool.  I simply slotted the other end to a chain link and dropped the other onto the chain.  Oh, it's time to replace my chain!

I just installed new pair of wheelsets on my On One Inbred 29er:

• FireEye 2928 Excelerant Rims (black)
• FireEye Front Hub F5 (green)
• FireEye Rear Hub R5 (green)
• FireEye QR Skewers (black)
• FireEye Spokes (black)
• FireEye Nipples (gree)
• FireEye Rim Tapes

I also replaced the rotors with Quaxar Iris and the black Sea Gull saddle with the same brand colored Red.

• Brakes: from SLX (front only) to XT (front & rear);
• Crank arms: from silver XT to black XT;
• Grips: from ESI Silicone to Ergon GA1 Evo;
• Surly Tuggnut.
